A large aggressive animal.
They live in temperate areas and walk back and forth between forested and desert areas.
They often hunt out in the open while resting under trees or mostly submerged in the local water hole, gladly nabbing a walk by snack.
A heavy animal, and not the fastest runner. Though it got great stamina and can trail a prey animal for days if it has to.
Males wander a large area and will breed with any willing females in it while keeping other males at bay.
The females got smaller territories in which she protects her young, however she may wander beyond her borders if trailing food.
It is a live birth and the young are fairly large; so there is only 1-2 babies born.
They are ready to hunt shortly after birth but will remain in the patch of forest until they are not considered a bite sized snack for the patrolling male. In the meanwhile mom and possibly an elder sister will carry home larger pieces of food for them.
!Extra note! After looking back i realize that this animal would benefit by having slightly webbed feet to aid it walking on sand.
This is something i will add if i am to draw it again.
