For quite a lot of people Pokémon get looked at and rated in statistics which are numbers rating their overall powers as well as how they would perform in Pokémon battles. However, I find that there is surely always more than just such a thing to tell what makes somebody stand out. Being strong doesn't always mean muscle power and there are surely ways in how everybody can show strength by other traits.
Shiny is a jolly small dude who is still learning a lot of things about the modern world and often gets supported by all of his big dudes. His life is very peaceful and so most of his strengths shine through in the way he interacts with others. I hope you will enjoy finding out more about Shiny's talents and positive traits here with me.

-kindhearted and compassionate
People see Shiny mostly as that friendly 'Dile in the neighbourhood because he loves to get around and greet others while on his way to various places each day. His days can be both filled with simple activities to little over the top adventures. It all comes together in that Shiny is often regarded well for treating others with love and care. He's happy when his neighbours and dudes ask him for assistance as Shiny is glad to be helpful to them. It is his personal wish that he can become even more useful to them because he would put the ones dear to him before himself at times.


-friendly, very social and eager to make friends
Shiny has a big draw in wanting to make friends. This can possibly root back in the fact that he wanted to have friends at his age when he was smaller and that he has been alone for a while after his grandma's passing. What one definitely can say though is that Shiny treats others with a lot of friendliness because of how nice his grandma Kanga has been to him. Might also be part of his own nature that he loves company and is always happy when he can make others smile. Kanga at least always told him that sharing a smile is something that everybody can do.


-mostly quick to make friends and treating others equally
The little turquoise Totodile seems to have the talent to get along quickly with other people most of the time. When he looks at people he doesn't see the differences in size, the species and all that usually as a hindrance to become dudes with them. He rather thinks the uniqueness about everybody makes people cool in his book and he's happy when he can show others that they are great the way they are.


-quite talkative and a good listener
It's definitely not boring around Shiny. The term "Big-Jaw-Pokémon" can be used for the little guy quite well as that he does like to discuss all sorts of things with people. He can chatter out in conversations pretty much like how his Water Type tummy can create fuel for his Water Gun move.
However, despite that he can talk a lot Shiny always manages it to brake himself in a conversation and eagerly listens to his dudes. He is glad when he can learn things from them and always help them to have a fun conversation.


-honest
Might be the kind and always strong influence of his grandma but Shiny isn't one for that hiding things from people. His conscience would make him feel bad if he'd keep things for himself usually. He's always somebody who talks with others about things and no matter what, Shiny stays true to himself and the ones around him.


-understanding and open-minded
Shiny surely learned about how some of his big dudes might get busy or that some of them might go on travels to places far-off. He still always wishes them all well and waits for their return to him. Because of Shiny's happy-go-lucky attitude he is mostly able also to forgive others quickly when there has been misunderstandings.


-curious and quick to learn new things
Shiny enjoys it when he gets to learn and understand something new. In a way it makes him happy and proud that he can grow up in that certain way and so support his big dudes with his knowledge. When there is something that looks fun or interesting then Shiny investigates it, asks people about it and has fun to find out how things work. Even if some things seem a bit eerie at first he believes that as soon as he knows about them he won't be afraid of them too much anymore.
While Shiny isn't somebody I'd say has much knowledge about machines or for example things like sewing, I could still imagine that he wouldn't have that many problems to pick up the basic abilities of performing okay with such things. He's quite nifty and a quick learner. All surely depending on how entertaining it can become. His dudes and his own curiosity are the ones who help Shiny the most with getting motivated.


-filled with a lot of optimism and trust
Whenever he ever feels frustrated, sad or in any way mad then that really is mostly only a very brief thing nowadays because Shiny developed a lot of confidence thanks to many friendly people he met over time. All his dudes and the friendly people around Triepeaks pushed his confidence in that whenever there is a problem or funny circumstance, then they all can depend on each other.
Shiny trusts others a lot and even if he faces some of his weaknesses he can only hesitate so long before feeling happy again thanks to all the positive things that turn his mood to the better around. One can definitely see that his smiling face can make said optimism quite contagious.


-a natural great swimmer
As a Water Type Pokémon Shiny surely has that affinity towards that splashing element. His grandma Kanga was always rather nervous when she found the little hatchling trying to get to the nearby ponds and the flat riverbed near their home because the water was like a magnet for the little Totodile. Maybe Shiny knew right away that water is a place he likes to dwell in and up to this day he can swim quite quick and with a lot of joy.


-used to live in the wild
Shiny's first home was with his grandma Kanga in the 'Little Woods' (the name I gave the area a while ago) near the Kangaskhan tribe that resided in that area. In contrast to Shiny's life nowadays in the modern society of Triepeaks though Shiny was pretty much used to always live in the wild. His grandma taught the little guy a lot of things about how he can find food, orient himself and what else is good to know when growing up.
Kanga's teachings and Shiny's studies in Triepeaks taught the Totodile a lot of useful things over time. He knows for example on how to use the landscape, the sun and plant life around him to navigate himself whenever he goes into the woods. He also can pick up herbs, roots, mushrooms and berries and distinguish the yummy ones from the ones he shouldn't eat. His natural affinity with water also helps him to find fresh water as well.


-doesn't mind the cold too much
Basically since his time as a smaller Totodile Shiny was used to snow and cold climates and as a Water Type Pokémon, Shiny technically has access to learning Ice Type moves. When the temperatures fall it usually only affects him in the way that he is getting a bit more tired in the evening and that he is reacting a bit slower. Shiny usually only wears winter clothing because it feels nice and comfy and does look fancy to him. During summer days Shiny definitely enjoys it to swim out in the cold waters of the 'Little Lake' in Triepeaks Woods and spend a relaxing time in the cool waters when he is on one of his strolls and feels like having a splash.


-agile, sporty and sportive
He might be not the biggest in size, but he definitely is quite the bundle of energy. Shiny can jump several feet into the air and move with the agility of what some people might rate as acrobatic. Shiny loves to move around and to play a lot and in a way he often gets compared to a bouncy ball because of that.
Alongside that he has a great balance. Using a surf board or hover board, skates and such, Shiny seems rarely to have problems to slide around.


-close to nature and a good gardener
Since the time his grandma taught him about how to take care of plants around him Shiny has enjoyed to pick up additional knowledge at school to give the trees and plants in his neighbourhood something back. Shiny is often seen taking strolls through Triepeaks Woods, looking for some seeds and treats he can find. His Water Gun move he often uses to share a drink with the berry bushes he gets something from.
Aside from that, Shiny also turned Brakk's garden into his own little farm for vegetables, herbs and berries that people have shared with him. He has a lot of fun to raise and harvest the fruits of the work.
He also has a little flower garden which is consisting mostly of a bunch of wild flowers that he simply enjoys for all their many colors.


-a hobby cook and baker
Shiny learned how to cook from the people in Triepeaks and since the first time he got to eat a yummy veggie soup he's been amazed on how nice cooked meals and all sorts of things can taste. He might not always be the biggest eater, but he loves it to try out different dishes and cook and bake things for his dudes. Brakk for example did praise Shiny for the nice meals he prepared for him and that they made him quite happy.
Shiny is happy whenever he can surprise others with some cakes, berry treats or yummy things he used his berries and veggies for.
Aside from that it is also impressive because Shiny learned to do such things under the circumstances of being mostly in the need of step ladders and stools to reach the kitchen unit and oven properly but thanks to his big dudes tutoring him well enough he picked things up quite quickly.
On a side note, Shiny is pretty lucky to have that kind of metabolism which lets him keep his feather weight pretty much all the time. And even if his dudes do something about it, then he's mostly back to normal not too long afterwards.


-good at taking care of household duties
Shiny is the kind who liked it to learn how to keep his things neat and tidy. Just as much as he enjoys a bath he treats all his belongings with care. In that regard it isn't much of a wonder that Shiny became quite good at things that are about cleaning his home as well. Using that talent, Shiny is happy nowadays to support his dude Brakk who often goes about his work and never found house duties all too fun.
Shiny mostly listens to music and turns what for some people feel like chores into little fun activities and so things usually tend to be a good time when Shiny is doing such things.
Sometimes it can happen though that some of Shiny's magically talented dudes come along and then use some of their abilities to speed things up so that they can pick up Shiny for playing outside instead. Definitely also cool for him.


-a party Pokémon, great dancer and happy singer
This little fella is pretty much in love with everything that makes people happy and so things like festivities, parties and simply get-togethers with others to play around and have a great time with music, balloons and so on are all that makes him even bouncier than usual.
While at times Shiny seems to more jump and wiggling around he is also able to pull off quite the nice choreographies. His active and playful nature and him often joining others and learning from them helped him to develop a talent for dancing. And whenever Shiny gets praised for how he dances or when it simply makes others cheer and smile, then he is even happier.
In regards of cheering, Shiny is actually part of a cheerleader club at his school where he uses his energy and loud voice to aid the sports teams of the other clubs so that everybody can have an even more fun time yet.
Shiny of course also finds singing fun from just singing the lyrics of a song he is listening to a round of karaoke with others, Shiny enjoys singing and does that quite powerful.
Overall one can say that Shiny is always feeling good when he can be in the company of others and especially when there is a place with lots of music and a happy atmosphere. Lucky for him that because he's so responsible and that he knows so many people that people let the jolly Totodile in a lot of clubs in Triepeaks to join in for another party.


-a musician with an ear-bone for rhythm
I personally believe that Shiny has quite the talent. Since the day he picked up playing the electric guitar (a candy apple red Les Paul to be exact) he's had a lot of fun exercising it and playing for others. Shiny also enjoys it to join in on band sessions and seems to get better and better each day with his instrument.
Additionally, he seems to have a good feel for music. It's a talent he developed especially because of his part-time job at the music centered store "Melody & Rhythm" downtown in Triepeaks. Listening to many tracks on his headphones, getting involved with other music-loving people and getting to also try other instruments and music genres here and there brought him and his favourite hobby much closer over time.

-never gets bored because he got a lively fantasy
I think that Shiny is the kind of jolly Pokémon that has the kind of creativity inside him that make the littlest activities into something entertaining to him. However, in a way it is no wonder because thanks to all the fantastic things his dudes involve him in so often he surely has quite the exciting life. And even when there isn't anything big happening, Shiny does enjoy himself.


-laid back and able to make the best out of most situations
In connection to his optimism Shiny developed with the time his way to make unfortunate and weird situations into something enjoyable still. He does things like taking a nap or simply takes in all the positive aspects of the given circumstances which then results in a lot of fun.


-polite and with good manners
Shiny might get restless and excited in a bunch of situations when his joy is taking the best of him but he does care a lot about not to make others feel embarassed and tries to behave well around others. People surely are showing a lot of tolerance mostly because he is still figuring things out, but they do praise him for being welcoming and hospitable.


-can be crafty and likes to decorate
Balloons are Shiny's sign of dudeship that he's pretty much known for. Since the time he got introduced to them by the professors at Lamplight Lab, Shiny has been quite giddy about all sorts of ways to surprise his dudes. The whole process from writing invitations to choosing themes and outfits, music and putting up balloons, treats and drinks are all just something that Shiny loves to do.
In regards of him and balloons, he is happy when he can put up many of them and with the thousands of balloons he has been in his paws over time he surely became quick to prep a toy balloon. One moment he turns around and two seconds later he's already offering a balloon to somebody.


-inventive
There are a lot of moments that Shiny needs to deal with the circumstance that he's much smaller than others. With his body size of only 2.6ft he is surely not the size of the most regular furniture in the houses of many homes in Triepeaks. However, Shiny is mostly rather good in finding ways to get around despite not being able to reach every spot too well. He looks for things that he can use as stools and discovers ways to make things that fit his size better.


-hard-working when somebody entrusts him with duties
Shiny is somebody who is happy when people trust him and think he can be entrusted with things fitting his age and beyond. From textbook exercises in one of his school courses to home duties to also taking on little jobs for his professors and other people, Shiny is taking on things like how he'd help out one of his dudes.


-independent for his age
Shiny is pretty impressive in that since he already learned early on to survive and care for himself as well as that he learned enough from his teachers and professors on how things work in modern society. And with Shiny wishing to be equal with his dudes he did his best to learn on how to become dependable for them.
Shiny basically knows all sorts of tools and devices one finds at home and in local areas. And on a daily basis his big dudes explain to him things whenever he gets to see something new to him.


-somebody who enjoys puns, jokes and friendly pranks by his dudes
Shiny can get quite often on the radar of some pranksters and if anything he does appreciate a good surprise or something silly to happen to him. His dudes know quite some ways on how to make some fun tricks and he is not minding when things can be a bit overwhelming.
Whenever things might become a little inconvenient Shiny might pout a little but also he does explain his dudes the situation and in the end all are able to laugh together again. Shiny definitely can laugh in a way that it makes others feel very appreciated and that is probably also the reason that they enjoy coming back and telling him more fun stories to see the jolly Totodile giggle about. Some also just tickle him because that produces the same result.
As many people do know, Shiny tends to use funny phrases like "totodily" or "dudes" because it is simply something he finds nice as it makes most of his dudes giggle some as well with him.


-soft and emotional
As jolly as Shiny can be he does embrace most of his emotions, given the situation his mood can swing quite some and from sky high he can suddenly be down and sniff and tear up as well. Shiny has that kind of heart that makes himself very access-able by memories, experiences and how his senses and thoughts can create quite the chain reaction. You could say he's impulsive in his embrace of his emotions but it doesn't usually affect him in a bad way. He just treasures his feelings all.


-enthusiastic as well as ambitious
As one may have noticed: Shiny is easily excited by many things. Big people, toys, anything that looks like something amusing. All of the above and many more things make the jolly Totodile feel inspired and hopeful inside. He goes into things with the pure mindset of sharing his joy with other people and for that he tries to be especially attentive and listens to what people do advise him to do.


-can be courageous when his dudes need him
As most boys Shiny does admire people who do heroic deeds. While his own heroic deeds usually aren't as huge and impressive as the heroes he likes to watch on shows and movies, Shiny has a good sense of courage to him. Like everybody, the little one does have his fears and can get quite shaky when confronted with them, but be at his side as a support and he will get over things much better.
When giving a conflict, Shiny tries not to provoke a confrontation and tries to talk with people. Though if one of his dudes gets afraid of something they can be sure that Shiny will try his best to help them despite how scary it may seem to him.
Additionally, Shiny isn't much afraid of appearances as he looks foremost at others' behaviours and is still eager to become dudes with them no matter what Species they are from. Can surely be that sometimes a person comes his way that does bear a more ferocious appearance, but in that case Shiny is also able to shake off his feelings and will try to understand them.
In a way one can say that Shiny brings with him that adventurous spirit as he goes about daily things. He isn't to afraid of the new things coming his way, especially when his dudes take him along.


-loves himself the way he is
Shiny once struggled with the fact that except his grandma none of the other Kangaskhan wanted to have anything to do with him just because of him being different from them. However, his grandma's love and the care of his big dudes showed Shiny that Shiny is perfectly fine in his own way. That boost in confidence and the acceptance of others showed Shiny that he is happy to be Shiny the Totodile. And all the memories he made with everybody, he wishes to hold on to them just as much. One of the things symbolizing all the love that makes him so happy overall is his Everstone necklace that he holds dear and that keeps Shiny bound to his own promise to himself: To become a big Totodile someday that can be a great help for everybody around him.

Yeah, so here you got it. You probably might guess already why I chose this motive. It's to give you the fun contrast on how strength can be built on.
Shiny's strength lies in his extroverted and inspiring nature. To me at least he seems like a protagonist type of character. Like somebody who might not be strong muscle-wise but strong at heart.
If his dudes need help he's happy to help them out, explaining to them what he enjoyed learning. He will keep learning and keep having fun. His judgment of others comes from his deep feelings that he shares with all of them.
He loves being with everybody because they welcomed him back when he was at the point where he wished for friends and family. His dudes are his family and his dudes, you are what makes Shiny truly strong.
