You know, when this one hit me the other night at work I was genuinely proud of myself. "Hunh" I thought. "A pleasant, happy, positive way to look at yet another stolen Pagan holiday which everyone can enjoy!"
*sighs* And then it hit me how many of you lovely watchers are likely diabetic, hypoglycemic or some other dietary abnormality which renders the idea totally crap. That ate butt... *frumps* I may go ahead and post my original comic for this day after all... *itches at her neck* It is a bit more on the dark side of things...

i like to buy cadbury cream eggs and freeze them and eat them like that, i've noticed a lot of candies can be improved by a stint in the freezer. like Charleston chews or three musketeers bars.
on the topic of food that tastes good augmented....let's head in the opposite direction as i state that you cannot reheat anything from Mcdonalds without it tasting like ass. and not the good kind of ass.

*big eyes* Oh no no no. McDonalds, Taco Bell... most fast food really, just does NOT reheat well. *head tilts* I've had some success with reheating some fries from a very few locations when I cooked them in a conventional oven but the microwave? *head shakes* No way, duderino. That's where fast food goes to accept mortality.

I do enjoy Little debbies Nutty buddies that have been in the fridge overnight. the only exception to the reheating rule is pizza, it's a mystical, magical foodstuff that defies the rules of fast food, reheated pizza is glorious, cold pizza is glorious. my favorite pizza is spinach, goat cheese and mushroom. and weirdly? reheating it is great! my mom taught me that the cold makes some candy amazing. and weirdly, chocolate is best cold.
Goat cheese pizza? That sounds very interesting, love. Where in the world do you get goat cheese pizza?
Oh- and I also agree, pizza is an awesome substance. It can be enjoyed warm, cold, fresh or "been sitting on the floor in that box the last- I dunno- day or two?". I enjoy a plethora of toppings but have found a special fondness for Pepperoni, black olives and feta. Getting those on top of one of those DOmino's Pizza pasta bowl things is a great way to spend an evening on the couch.
Oh- and I also agree, pizza is an awesome substance. It can be enjoyed warm, cold, fresh or "been sitting on the floor in that box the last- I dunno- day or two?". Like mac and cheese! It's great fresh if you add like 4 or 5 cheeses to it like my friends mom does, but it's at it's best after a day in the fridge. so chewy and perfect after reheating. And goat cheese pizza is hard to find in stores, I found it at Walmart when i used to shop there before i started shopping at Winco foods. it's cheaper at winco and they treat their employees good, you get benefits after working there a short time.
Oh lordy... mac'n'cheese may be the true proof of an afterlife. *smirks* Agreed on all accounts, love. If it's deli-style cheap-ass mac'n'cheese or home-made with extra goopy goodness and maybe even some crumbled Doritos on top, it's wonderful. Sometimes I like it with a little pepper..

Walmart as a company is a strange beast. I know that their core values are pretty damned good stuff, at least on paper. "Respect the individual", "strive for excellence", "act with integrity" and so on. Nevertheless, it seems that SO many people who work there have horror stories. One awful manager or another, someone getting fired unjustly, hell, the way they treated my wife was fucking embarrassing. I don't know a single person who's worked for Walmart -who wasn't a manager- who had anything nice to say about the company.

Every friend I've had who's worked there slowly loses their lust for life and any amount of joy for anything. the only way to get your "Soul" back is to leave the company, usually in a really funny way.
