Recently,
tzup,a dear friend and loved member of the furry fandom passed away. Despite how sad it is to deal with the loss of someone that important, I feel like his memory is better preserved by rejoicing in the happy moments he provided for me and many, many other persons out there, furry or otherwise.
I meet Tzup back in 2008, weeks after I joined the fandom and soon afterward, he gifted me for my birthday my first ever drawing tablet and gave me countless incentives to start taking commissions and making my way in the world of art and commissions. Not only that, we really hit off and would spend countless hours talking about all the subjects imaginable, he taught me so many things about life in general. Even though only pictures and text messages, we shared a lot of nice moments together.
Despite having got out of touch for several years and only getting to talk to each sporadically over the years, he was still a great friend to me, talking me up in moments when I was feeling down, giving me more incentives to keep going with my art (and motivating me to go and get my comics published and make a living out of them) and sharing our own stories to each other.
The last time we talked was back in February and we wished each other a happy new lunar year and remarked on how it was the year of the dog, and thinking about that, prompted me to draw this.
A long time ago, Tzup told me how much he liked dogs and the such and how much the fandom meant to him, hence this picture.
His furry self set out to make all of our lives amazing and happier, just like a proper dog would, and I'm confident in saying that not only he succeeded in doing that, but I also imagine how important it was for him to meet so many people and affect their lives in a positive way.
Anyway, before this gets too long and rambly, I wanted to conclude with a gigantic thanks to you,
tzup and I hope you're enjoying the doggy heaven, cause you know, all dogs go to heaven.
Rest in piece, dear friend. You will be missed.

I swear I see this in your works diving into reality and seeing the adversity you press on holding the memory to keep close to you my condolences to your friend but it's good to see someone that even when someone gone we carry on with our paths of life no matter what occurs knowing that even if the pain remains they wouldn't want us to fall from our passion
My apologies for the long winged comment

Kimmy,
A very touching piece and the depiction to me shows what Tzup really was as an individual. He was himself in and out of costume and he loved himself. Thru his own self-love his joy spread to many others. It is a contagious blessing that made the loss of him hard to bear for most. The Furry Fandom lost a gem.
I can't even think of any other way to put it. Tzup was a great man. And he will be missed. Thank you for drawing and sharing this creation in his memory.
