The vast and barren deserts of Vyrinian were treacherous in the dark of night. In the most remote places, far from nomadic encampments and industrial cities, natural light and the light generated from the floating cities were often the only sources of visibility once the sun dipped down, which did little to sway the nocturnal nightmares of the sands.

With that in mind, only the most daring or insane would scavenge or hunt in the evening. That meant there was little competition for Derge. He wasn't afraid; he was built and raised for this sort of thing and more. It was also the only thing even remotely exciting on this sorry excuse for a planet.

Exploring time-lost ruins always yielded interesting results. Whether they held some sort of monetary value or just caught Derge's attention, he snagged it all for himself. Finders keepers. And he'd do it all before the sky even fully darkened, in and out in a cloud of dust.

It was almost too easy. Derge'll have to start making his own excitement if he's forced to stay here much longer.

I guess because I like to give little anecdotes to more full pictures of Derge like this. >.> Was trying to think of stuff and got caught up in wanting stuff to fit together and BLUH.

More Derge. :3 I love seeing the little scamp in more unique styles, and Psy does such lovely art! So have some more Derge on his home planet of Vyrinian. Psy did such an awesome job with the colors on thiiiis. The scene it creates is so good! Just what I love to see with Derge. >w>

I gotta think up more stuff for this guy. So much fun.
