I caught this little guy outside one of our equipment buildings Thursday. I had a number of gopher snakes as pets growing up and this is by far the least aggressive one I've seen. I had to let one of them go because it struck the side of the cage every time I walked by and it was hurting its head. This one only tried to strike twice when I first grabbed it and never since.

I tried to catch it a lizard yesterday but had no luck. Maybe I'll swing by a pet store and get it a mouse when I am out yard saling today. He's a cute little guy.

And yes, the wall really is that color. For some reason the bathroom on the first floor of my house is SEARINGLY ORANGE (it leaves afterimages if you turn off the light then flick it back on!). I was going to repaint it, but it's sort of grown on me. 83
