Awww! Looks like my roommate's cat. Russian blue?

From the research i've done, i THINK he is a russian blue? He has the soft, downy fur, very long/lithe body, a ring of green around his iris (apparently common in younger russian blues, instead of pure green like you see in adults), very similar facial structure and whatnot, but i can't be 100% sure because he was a shelter kitty, so no papers. He could be a russian blue or a domestic shorthair o v o
