Episode 12: "The Dishonorable Son, Pt.2"

(We continue off in the history class room that is been run by Professor Oobleck talking about the Faunus race. In this scenario he talks about the Wolf Faunus in how their abilities can benefit them in their daily lives and to avoiding the Grimm)

Oobleck: So class the Wolf Faunus has excellent abilities that help them in many ways they can, one of those things is that they can sense emotion that no one can see it. For example; if someone is hiding their emotion from someone—the Wolf Faunus can identify them if there are sad, mad, angry and etc. *sluuuuuuuuuuuuuurp* Now then, can anyone tell me how useful is their sense of smell? … … Anyone?… … Anybody?

(Genji raises his hand)

Oobleck: Oh… yes Osamu Genji?
Genji: *stands up from his seat* Their sense of smell is very useful, they can sense danger from near and far, it can also use it to find something they have lost or even to help them to get back home.

Oobleck: Correct! It seems that you know quite well about them.
Genji: I have been well informed.
Oobleck: Very good very good, you may sit down now.

(He sits back down to his seat)

Oobleck: Now where was I… … … Ah yes...

(While Oobleck continues his discussion, Blake leans forward to talk to Genji)

Blake: Hey Genji.
Genji: Yeah?
Blake: I didn’t know you are interested in the Faunus?
Genji: I do. I’m not like those people who ignore the need for their race, besides, someone need to look out for them, right?
Blake: Huh… Good to know.

(The class continues their session while Raiden started to talk to Edgar)

Raiden: Hey Edgar.
Edgar: Yes?
Raiden: Are you ok?
Edgar: What do you mean?
Raiden: You know what I mean.
Edgar: I don’t think so.
Raiden: You know, of what happen in the cafeteria—
Edgar: I really don’t want to talk about it.
Raiden: Why not? My father told me that I shouldn’t intervene in any situations of others but I am worried about you man.
Edgar: I know that you are worried for me, but—
Raiden: Yes?
Edgar: *inhale* … … … *exhale*… … … But I need to solve this situation on my own terms.
Raiden: Yeah but—
Edgar: Let me talk to Weiss tonight. This… “sin” of mine has to end.
Raiden: Your “sin”? Wait-- what are you talking about—

(The school bell begins to ring)

Oobleck: Well class I believe that would be done for today but remember, don’t forget to read your books about this subject in particular. Best good luck to you all and have a pleasant day.

(Everyone has left the classroom while Oobleck to a sip of his coffee. Later that night, Weiss was getting dress to meet Edgar on the rooftop to discuss on the topic they have arranged during lunch time. Ruby tries to convince her to not go too harsh on him during their discussion)

Ruby: Are you sure you want to do this?
Weiss: I am one hundred percent sure I want to do this, the time has come I get my answers.
Ruby: Oh… … … But at least promise me one thing?
Weiss: And that is?
Ruby: Please don’t be too harsh on him, ok?
Weiss: Ruby please understands that I have to know by any means…
Ruby: Oh… *sad face*
Weiss: I won’t make any promises… … … But I’ll try.

(She leaves the room)

Ruby: …
Blake: Don’t worry about it Ruby. Everything will be all right.
Ruby: What do you mean?
Yang: She asks someone form Millers team to talk to her before she meets with Edgar.
Ruby: *she looks at Blake* Really?
Blake: *nods hear head in response*
Ruby: Who’s is that person?

(Weiss continues her walk down the hallway that will lead towards the stairs to the rooftops, but before she reaches the stairs she encounters Leonidas Atnikos that is waiting for her in mid-way towards the stairs. When Weiss walk pass him, he begins with the conversation)

Leo: Going somewhere?
Weiss: To the rooftop, why do you ask?
Leo: He is waiting for you up there you know.
Weiss: I know that. Are you here to convince me to not be harsh on him too?
Leo: …
Weiss: Look I know that everyone wants to be nice to him, but I have to do this—it’s the only way I can know the truth. So please don’t try to stop me, ok?
Leo: … *looks to his left towards the window*
Weiss: …
Leo: Do you know how Pyrrha and I first meet?
Weiss: What? What are you talking about—
Leo: Back then when I was in Sanctum Academy, I was one of the newcomers to be accepted into the school. I became popular and being one of the top students in my class.
Weiss: …
Leo: One day the want to do a test to see who is the most skilled huntsmen in the entire school and my opponent way Pyrrha, that was the day we first meet.
Weiss: …
Leo: We class swords against each other and she notice that I have a similar fighting style as her, *giggle* she was upset about it and called me a copycat.
Weiss: *gasp* She thought about that too?
Leo: Yeap. We been in each other’s throats for a while until one night we manage to talk to each other. We slowly got the chance to get to know each other until we started to talk about our parents, that’s where the moment we realize that we are cousins.
Weiss: Oh… I didn’t know that.
Leo: *smiles* From there we started to get along just fine until we became the top most popular students in the school. *looks back at her* What I’m trying to say is that when you go to talk to him on the rooftop don’t listen with you ears… but your heart.
Weiss: With… my… heart?
Leo: *walking towards her* You want to hear you answers so you can get it over with, but if you listen with you heart—you can finally understand what he is trying to tell you *stops in front of her* *puts his hand on her shoulder* So please… for all of us… listen to what he wants to say and then you make you judgement, ok?

(Weiss looks at his face with concerned and she smiles and nods her head in agreement. Meanwhile at the rooftops, Edgar was looking at the moon with his swords drawn out. He was still concern of how it’s going to play out—not knowing if she will understand or that she will hate him for the rest of her life. He looks at his sword for a moment and looks back at the moon and said by the following quote)

Edgar: (Father… What should I do?)

(He looks down to the ground for a moment until Weiss voice was heard)

Weiss: Edgar?

(The angle of the perspective view moves to the right revealing Weiss at the door, Edgar looks behind him so he can see her)

Edgar: …
Weiss: …
Edgar: So… You finally came.
Weiss: Yes… I’m here, just like you ask.
Edgar: Good… *looks at his sword* *putting his sword away* Before we begin I have one question for you.
Weiss: And that is?
Edgar: *he looks strait at her eyes* Are you going to listen to me with your ears… or with your heart?
Weiss: *gasp* …
Edgar: Your silence is all that I needed to hear.

(He positions himself to his left and he begins his explanation)

Edgar: …
Weiss: …
Edgar: … The Damiano family has served the Schnee family for many generations, our purpose is to protect the Schnee family and their family name for ever being ruined or misused. Our roles as paladins is a sacred duty for us to do, my father, Frost Damiano was the last in the line of succession. *looks to his left towards Weiss* My father… have severed your mother.
Weiss: *gasp* *puts her hand to cover her mouth in surprised*
Edgar: I knew you would react to that *he looks forward and starts walking in circle slowly* My father have served you mother for as long as I remember, he have done a good service to your family before your mother got married to someone else. One day he was sent to do an important mission under your mother’s others to do some recognizance around the entire region of Atlas, he was finish with his assignment and was returning home until—
Weiss: Until what?
Edgar: *he stops walking* *looks back at her* Until he was assassinated on the way home.
Weiss: *gasp* *puts her hand to cover her mouth in shock* I—I didn’t… I’m sorry for you loss.
Edgar: You shouldn’t, I don’t deserve it anyway.
Weiss: What?! Why not?!
Edgar: *he continues his walk* Without a family to attend me I was left alone, but not before long I was taken in by the Thieves of Atlas. They raise me in like one of their own, they treated me like part of their family and more, but then I started to do thing that help people.
Weiss: In how you started to help?
Edgar: … By stealing the rich and giving it to the poor.
Weiss: Oh!
Edgar: … At first I thought I was doing the right thing… *he stops walking and faces towards her* … But I was wrong. *he approaches towards her* I did done thing that I would never forgive myself for it… *spots in frontk of her* and I hope you would understand.
Weiss: Edgar… What are you trying to say?

(Edgar reaches out inside of his coat to pull out a large envelope)

Edgar: This… is a dossier. Inside of this envelope contains all the information about your family and stocks your family has collected in the Schnee Dust Company.
Weiss: *steps back in shock* WHAT!?!

(A moment of silence)

Weiss: How— How— How did you manage to get that sensitive information?!?!
Edgar: It was one of the mission… and the last mission I have ever did. We were ask to steal this dossier from a powerful man who wants to ruin the lives of others… *looks to his left* now that I know that was a lie.
Weiss: …
Edgar: *looks back at her* The true intension for the mission was to ruin your family for all eternity by stealing these sensitive documents. When I realize their plans for this… *he looks at the dossier for a moment* I don’t want to be part of it.
Weiss: …
Edgar: So is within my rights and my responsibility to do the right thing… *he hands over the dossier* to return this to you, please take it.
Weiss: *sad face*

(Weiss grabs and take back the stolen documents of her family, after it Edgar turns around to hide his shame from her)

Weiss: Ed… Edgar… I—
Edgar: I’m a disgrace of a human been and a disgrace to my family!!!
Weiss: Edgar… Your—you’re not—
Edgar: So please just do me a favor… *sob* *sob* and just go.
Weiss: Edgar please, at least tell me your reason why are you here—
Edgar: *he turns around* JUST GO!!!

(Weiss stood silence from Edgar’s cream, in that moment she saw his face full of tears. She understands what he wants and walks away back to her dorm. Edgar was left alone with his shame upon himself and to his family name)

Edgar: I hope that you won’t forgive me for this… *looks to the sky* Because there is nothing to forgive for what I have done.
???: I can agree with that.
Edgar: WHAT!?!

(He turns around and see Cardin climbing into the rooftop)

Edgar: Cardin Winchester?!?!
Cardin: Yeap, that’s my name.
Edgar: You—You didn’t hear everything did you?
Cardin: So what if I have?
Edgar: No no no no no no no no! You—You can’t tell anyone about this.
Cardin: Why not? You’re a thief. Surely the authorities would love to hear this.
Edgar: NO NO NO!!! You CAN’T tell anyone about this. I’m begging you!!!
Cardin: Well…
Edgar: Please *tears* I’m begging you *tears*
Cardin: … Ok I won’t tell.
Edgar: Oh thank you—
Cardin: But…
Edgar: But?!?!
Cardin: *giggle* You can do some favors for me to prevent that. Heh heh heh…

(His face was pale as white of what Cardin has plan for him, knowing that his life is at stake he has no choice but to submit to his wishes. Meanwhile with Weiss, she was walking back to her dorm and thinking about Edgars problem)

Weiss: (Edgar… I—I didn’t know that you have a rough life). (There… there has to be something that I can do).
