During my three-day attendance at Megaplex in Kissimmee, Florida (back in July), I'd shared two nights in a Motel 6 suite with Kelvin The Lion (left). We haven't seen each other in over a year, so I'd looked forward to the reunion.
In addition to his talents as an anthroartist (e.g., 'Whomper' adventures in "Furrlough", as well as his webcomics "Nivlek", "Macropod Madness" and "11 Will Die"), he also is a respectable fursuiter. I'll have a photo of him in his costume in a future posting.

Oh this is Kelvin. My goodness he's a big boy ain't he? It was very sweet of him to share that room with you (glad I read your journal so I know who all these guys are). Never seen him before, but I have heard of "Furrlough" not the other comics though. I need to get in the loop more >.>
I'll let you in on a little trade secret... I was the one who came up with the name 'Whomper' for his vulpine character in "Furrlough". Many years ago, Kelvin was developing the character - a chubby fox with a magic hammer - and he was asking anybody out in Cyberspace to come up with a name for him. I didn't want to use the stereotypical name that starts with an F (like 'Freddy Fox' or 'Ferdy Fox', and the like), so I was leaning more towards his hammer and simply came up with the name 'Whomper'. Kelvin liked it, and the rest (as they say) is history!
It's only fair that I get to meet anthroartists in person, and get to know them better. After all, it was many years ago when I got to meet you at "AnthroCon" (and I believe that was when it was still being held in Valley Forge, PA). I'm just sorry I didn't get to hang out with you more. Nevertheless, it's good to see your talents all over the Internet, as well...
Yeah, I enjoyed "11 Will Die" during its run, too. Meanwhile, his other two webcomics can still be seen on the Internet. Rather than give you the links for "Nivlek" and "Macropod Madness", it would be easier for you to look for these titles in the Belfry website. Just go to http://belfrycomics.net , seek out the 'Sporadic' section (as compared to the 'Daily' or 'Weekly' section), and look for each title there.
NOTE: "Nivlek" is rated 'WEB-MA' for nudity and sexual content, while "Macropod Madness" is simply 'WEB-PG' for its intense fictional violence. Just so you know.
