Eva's career as a Xenobiologist has her traveling around the galaxy. Visting all sorts of unsavory and toxic alien worlds cannot just be dangerous to aspiring field biologists due to the chance of becoming infected with extremely dangerous diseases, radiation exposure, extreme temperatures and a hostile ecosystem. But also the biologist's very own alien physiology and the diseases that inhabit them have a chance to bring the entire planet's ecosystem to its knees.
If the planet's own microscopic organisms, plant pollen, or natural poisons doesn't kill the alien visitor first. Thier own hitchhiking parasites has its own chance of becoming invasive. Eating up other small organisms and invading the native wildlife. And because their immune system isn't adapted to fight off these new diseases and elements, either will die a horrible death.
It is an OUX (Organization of Universal Xenology) policy that all field personal wear protective gear before landing on an unexplored alien environment. In order to both protect OUX personal and protect the environment from themselves. OUX's mission is to study, preserve, empower and protect all forms of life, no matter how small. One single death of a species due to an alien plague is considered a failure on their part.
Eva, though she takes these protocols very seriously. She is of no concern for the environment. This is due to her supernatural physiology. Her ability to shapeshift and harness fantastical powers to change her physiology keeps her from becoming a host or a threat to new ecosystems. The organisms that do reside in her are kept at bay by her powers. Of course, she uses her powers to keep her casual clothes free from contamination, both native and alien.
Her power is unexplainable, even to herself and to OUX. But her power nonetheless has become both useful and pleasurable. Her naga form, commonly combined with her mermaid abilities (which are considered one and the same) has made her extremely adaptable to any biome. With her ability to combine and adapt different biological characteristics.
The only useless change is Eva's human like mammalian glands. Being an Arrvian, an avian species without or need to produce milk for offspring, they serve no purpose and are in fact considered a burden and a joke by non-humans. Nonetheless, Eva has adapted the change for "Private and Personal" reasons.
