For this piece I wanted to try "building" the sound. So as the piece continues more instruments come into the picture. This is the first time I've tried this style of writing and could use some critique. As always if you have any advice on how I could improve my music I'd be happy to hear it.

Listened through the entire piece, and gotta say its solid and I enjoyed it primarily. Are you recording with an actual guitar?
My critiques are this, it's quite repetitive, one partial fix for that is changing up the drums a bit.
For a transition, maybe try doubling the drums, add some double strikes with the bass and some off beat strikes of the cymbals and snare.
Only other thing is try exploring a bit more with the guitar lines, what you have would be a key bass guitar line, but walk the frets a little with the guitar parts, especially during transitions.
Good layering, and adding in of other instruments.
