Newly transformed into an Istrala demon, Echo tests his new magical powers by tentatively taking to the air. This goes relatively well until he attempts to experiment with the OTHER abilities he's gained in his transformation. Let's just say that when the day began, he didn't expect to be in the body of a demon shooting lightning out of his newly-changed hands.

So, a lot of people on my Discord server are aware of this, but I figured I'd go ahead and make it public knowledge. The technical name for the demons formed of enyos are the Istrala. Hasn't been talked about in the comic yet, but it's not like it's a massive spoiler, and frankly, it's easier to say and more clear than enyo-demon. So, in a nutshell: An imp called an enyo + a human = a demon called an Istrala. The more you know. <3

Okay, with that bit of housekeeping out of the way, this is the second Istrala commission I've gotten, but by no means the last. I was to give a special shoutout to my bud  kyrio for helping me figure out some new techniques for lightning.

I am extremely happy with this one and I legitimately was grinning ear to ear while working on it. While I am super happy with the special effects and shading I did, for me, what sells this picture is the facial expression. Just plain awesome.

Also, we see the return of an Istrala's flight power. And as you can see, their wing energy does indeed match their eye color. <3
