worry not for i have many a spider friend on my porch and in my house and those webs are remade rather quickly. though they are energy intensive so i often capture them some prey and make it easier to capture when i accidentally mess up a web as an apology to them.

however the most amazing thing is watching them dissemble a web. they slurp it up like some sort of silvery spaghetti consuming all the tiny bugs and pollen bits and such that are trapped but unnoticed. then they rest a little while and spin again.

Interesting. I've never seen a spider slurp back a web. Lot of protein in those things.

Thanks. I actually gave her a wee bit of a nudge to get her off of this blade of grass and into the shot. Should post one of the earlier ones, very hard to get sharp focus when it's measured in millimeters and both you and the grass both can and do move.
