(XXX days after the fall of the Eight Kingdom)
It's gone. It's all gone. Everyone, everything. It all sunk into the abyss.
Why did it turn out this way? Could I have done more? Something, anything, to change what happened? I wasn't anything important, so maybe I wouldn't have made a differance. Besides, I was a coward. I was scared, and I fled. I saw that light and all I could think about was getting as far from it as possible. I took...(illegible).
I'm writing this down as best I can before the shock or the magic makes me forget. I doubt I'll ever look at these pages again, but I have to put the words, the memories, somewhere. So many were taken, they don't deserve to be forgotten. I tried to find survivors, but the ground keeps sinking beneath my boots and...(illegible).
Why did....(illegible)...never expected...(illegible).
I have to get far from here. Have to leave this place. I don't know if (illegible) is still down there, somewhere...(illegible). If (illegible) is, then things will get worse. The other kingdoms would...(illegible)
I'll try to remember, write it down, in case something happens.
