My cousin married this past week. So that she'd have something to remember me for besides "That weird dude I never really saw growing up," I wrote her a wedding march. Kept it simple and conventional - a wedding processional isn't the time for avant-garde push-the-boundaries musik, in my opinion.
In a little personal note of squee - I had given this just as a gift, didn't expect it to be played publicly. However, my cousin's designated wedding music, a classical guitarist, flaked out on the gig, so this was actually used as her wedding march.
Even though I know it's her day, not mine, I still took it as a high compliment that this was actually used in the ceremony as the bride's processional.
This is the short version, with repeats and D.S./coda cut. As written, it's like any classic processional, you can keep it rolling through as many times around as needed. Kind of like Pomp and Circumstance.
Tech notes: Composed in Finale 2009, voices by Garritan Personal Orchestra. Intended for live performance with string quartet.
