*poke* You need to read my Be-Hope article! Katz declared he would retire at the end of the season.

Hmmm... As assistant coach, perhaps. I can see the bruising getting to him a lot worse than it would to, say, B-Hop, and someone with that much experience would do very well as a coach.
I'm drawing the idea from a wrestling character of mine, Parondor Calhoren. After he was forced by his doctor, his boss, and his body to quit active wrestling, he became an assistant trainer for other wrestlers.

Yup! Coming off a stellar year at Bowling Green State University, Ian "Skates" Histon is a small forward of intense ability. Averaging 15 points a game, the 5'9" leopard doesn't look like much, but the combination of speed, agility, and a nearly 60 inch vertical leap have done wonders with his ball handling. He's nearly 89% on free throws, and holds the record in the MAC for assists at 615 during his college career. He's expected to be heavily courted by the Mayors, The Firestorm, and The Moonshiners. However, he's stated his preference is to play with the Thrust because, "I grew up watching Manuel Katz, and I really want a chance to be on the same team as Buck Hopper. He really can help me grow my skills, and I think I can do the same."
*bootsteps, echoing across the hardwood in the darkness, the Right Eye gleaming of its own power*
It's the First Law of the Bushido, punk: There's Always Someone Better Than You.
*extends gloves paw to the defeated bunneh*
You will arise, you will examine your mistakes, and work to not repeat them. Defeat is the greatest teacher. You will train, you will remember, and next time, you *will* jump higher, shoot better and win apace until the next time your betters remind you of your need to improve.
If you cannot bear to lose, then you do not deserve to win.
*The Pepsodent Smile gleams in the darkness*
Isn't that right, LeBron?

No.
Rest now.
Go shower.
Take a hot bath.
The darkness is for rest.
The court will be there in the morning. As will the ball, the tapes, your coach and your teammates: Do you think you lost this game alone, and that others do not feel as you do, now? Do I not hear the cacophanous mental chorus of "If only I..." making the ether ring in their dispondancy? Do not belabor yourself, when the burden of championship is upon someone else. You are hardly defeated. No, you have been given a taste of the prize. Woe to them who stand in your way now...
*bootsteps echoing in the darkness. The ball is picked up. A brief dribble that sounds like the footsteps of a titan in the dark. A shot made, more felt than seen. The clattering ring of a bounce off the rim*
After all, this is the FBA...
*Another shot made, the air sighs as the ball archs through the black cavern of the empty arena. The satisfied, floppy swish of Nothing But Net*
This is where furry happens...
*bootsteps echoing off into darkness*
Goodnight, punk.

No way! You were in the NJB? What position did you play, BW?
I made B-Hop's jersey number 7 because he's supposed to be the nephew of a rabbit cartoon character from when I was a kid.

All that shadow-draped drama above, and then you *dare* to post the vid that inspired your character! You magnificent bastard. You even got the hereditary eye-ring, 'cause you were born 'neith a luck star!
Bob Dorough and Schoolhouse Rock FTW!
I've a greater sympathy for Figure 8 and Little Twelvetoes myself.

Hey, I'm not some emo kid! I didn't draw that picture to reflect the sadness in my soul, it's just storytelling! I'd put a dance party next to a funeral if it told a story.
I remember Figure 8, though somehow I don't recall Little Twelvetoes. Checked them both out on YouTube. Man, that was some amazing music.

Did you read my 2nd post up there? The shadow-draped drama (using the term "drama" in its Shakesperian context) was all my doing. Silly rabbit.
Trivia: All three of the songs we mentioned were written and performed by a cat named Bob Dorough. He confessed that Lucky 7 was a somewhat biographic piece, and that he saw Lucky as a cartoon version of himself.

Damn, Buck! Your getting so much better at this. O.=.o It's like a real bloody poster! I love the negative black space you used further from the Image and your simple powerfull words. I also wana know how the hell you managed to do the floor O.=.o It's amazing.. P.S. Your logo Ish wicked! Nicely placed!
Thanks, V! The floor was done using the new 3D tools in Photoshop CS4. I drew out the floor of the Thrust court in Illustrator CS4, tracing out an NBA court to get all the lines right. Then I imported the AI file into Photoshop as a Smart Layer. I converted the layer into a 3D postcard then used the 3D tools to angle the floor the way I wanted it to be.
After that, I rasterized the floor and masked out a soft circle for the lighting effect. Then to top it off, I applied the blur tool around the edges to give them a soft out-of-focus look. I think it came out looking really good!

P.S. Listen to this while looking at your picture. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9EbC.....aynext_from=PL From what one of your commentors have made this FBA You've created has touched hearts..
Oooof, I know that feeling all too well.
To up the dramatic touch next time, center B-Hop in the tip-off circle, center of the court, back to the camera, have the camera pushed back at bleacher level. That way you can see the empty stadium as well, which really adds to the heart-wrenching moments. :)

Thanks, JT. Yeah, this was hard for B-Hop. After playing through an injured ankle, getting his ears yanked, watching his teammate and friend Katz go down a game for standing up for his team, after Howell and Lyska teamed up to bring the game back from the brink, after Doral kept Zip-Nut at bay game after game, after Paws stepped up when no one else could to contain AC... and then to lose. This is a hard, hard loss for the team captain.
It's going to be a tough off-season.
