Stellaris has an awful tendency of giving the most hated empires some of the cutest portraits, and ironically this often happens to a good friend of mine who insists that Fanatic Materialist/Xenophobe is the way to go (at least back in 1.9) and thus turning into the despot of the current galaxy, providing some Fanatical Purifier starfish doesn't beat him to it, or brow-beat him into submission in the early game.
So as part of a raffle I won, I asked  thatwildmary "Could you draw This Species to the theme of This Song."

She definitely hit the nail on the head.
