the general definitian of pagan incorporates any religion etc that is not christian. the original celtic religions are by definition classified as pagan.

I know, but this doesn't pertain to Celtic rituals, it's just ambiguous. Also, paganism is not just any religion that is not Christian, as Judaism and Islam are not pagan religions. Pagan religions are based around nature, and spirits in nature :P They encompass a wide variety of cultures, but they require that, at the very least. In all honesty, I find this to be closer to Native American paganism than Celtic paganism :P
