Adomm - The Business
Adomm needs some more backstory. She is such a fascinating creature.
This story is a bit of a twist to a very popular children's story that is, I assume, told by parents to help prevent their young ones from disobeying. I imagine several of you will recognize it, but for those that don't, there's no need to read into it too much if it frustrates you. My intention is simply to entertain.

You did a good job of writing from a demon point of view. There are no good/bad things for Adomm, just curious and not curious.
I wonder, why Adomm did not encounter other donkeys except fresh changed ones? The buisness continues for years there have to be many of them. Do threads after a while aligned to be like in ordinary animal? What happens with their mental state?

Yes, but how time changes "form" threads? Are they aligned to target animal after some years, or there are always the same signs of their former humanity?
What happens if, for example, boy changed (incorrect way) into a puppy, then grew into a big dog, then after one year by a magic accident changes back? Would he become the same boy he starts, a boy one year older, an adult seven years older, or mostly dog with traces of human equal to puppy size %?

Age works via the addition of threads. The more threads there are, the older and bigger something gets. Eventually, however, they get so big that they loosen, unable to support themselves.
Not sure if that was a misspelling of the word "tragic"; there isn't really anything magical about what Adomm does. Nevertheless, I see what you're getting at. You're wondering if after a sloppy modification, how the form's memory being triggered years in the future would restore them. ... how to describe this one...
In a nutshell, it doesn't. At all. Analogy time!
If you take an elastic band, stretch it as far as it will go, and let it sit like that for a few days, what happens when you release it? Does it retain its tensile strength? A bit, but you'll notice it no longer retracts as it used to. Leave it for a few weeks, and it might even go brittle, or even snap in the process.
Same thing. A form's memory is only really good for the first few weeks of the transformation. Lets Adomm turn a canvas back quickly if needed. After a while, even if it's sloppy or incomplete, the memory fades away, as the body adapts to its new form. In about a month, the memory is barely there, but a relaxed hand can let it guide the threads back into place. In about two months time, though, it's completely gone, and Adomm would have to work it manually if she wants to restore the canvas to its original form. Usually a lot of guessing and trial/error is involved.
In the case of it "snapping", though... eh, I'll not go into detail, but let me assure you that it definitely is a thing that can happen, and it most definitely is a thing that Adomm really REALLY does not want to have happen. Despite her eager messing with canvases, she is quite keen on keeping the balance and snuffing out any major anomalies.
... well, there goes the subject matter of another Adomm story. I'll have to come up with something new... I wonder if Adomm knows how fire affects threads...
