Another dice bag, this one in blue Anodized Aluminum. Rings are 18ga 1/4", and the toggle is made from the same. The string is a rolled leather lace, and it's currently filled with my personal dice, though that's only for the photo.

This exact one I could part with for around $60. Sadly, it's not the material, it's the time taken. It takes hours to weave the rings, but they're not especially expensive to buy. It's a little like knitting in that regard. Inexpensive material, but lots of time taken. (At least with Aluminum. Steel is a whole 'nother ball of wax.)
As for leather for plant, I'm sure I could source some "vegan leathher" (I.E. plant-based or fully synthetic "leather"-alternative) for it rather than the leather I'm using. I have a feeling that it's already a faux-leather, since it's actually a lot stiffer than the real leather I've used in the past, but oh well. That's just a hunch. I live close to one of the largest (and best) craft stores in my area, so I'm pretty sure I could find what you need. :3

Oh, I hear ya' on the cost of labor. I've done a little bit of chainmail myself, but never anything like this.
That price seems rather reasonable for how time-consuming the whole process is.
I'm definitely interested (and like the fact that it's aluminum. Steel weighs a heck of a lot by comparison X'3 ) but, like I said before, this is not the week. When I've got some money at hand, though, I'll definitely keep this in mind =3
