I commissioned a personal, and emotional piece this time. Sometimes It helps to get art related to things you've gone through.
While cleaning and tidying in my apartment, I found this old postcard made of wood.
It was sent to me by my dad in the 90's, probably around 1993, or 1995. Dad was a seaman, and a captain aboard an LNG tanker at the time.
He would make frequent trips to Houston, Texas, and other port cities in the United States.
My dad died in 2010, and while i'm past grieving regularely, little reminders like this can occasionally rip open old wounds.
