I've been wanting to do a picture of Super Collie in a "kneeling knight" pose for quite some time, and recently I finally came across a decent reference photo for me to try it. After I did the rough lines, I decided to give the new "colour mask" tool in Krita 4.0 a go for the base colours, and it did such a good job of the initial colour definition I decided to forego the inking stage and just carry on.
Background is an "oilified" photo of Lake Tekapo I took several years ago. It (well, most of the Mackenzie country in the South Island of New Zealand) is Super Collie's home turf, so it's appropriate.
