This is a WIP of the Worgen fan art I'm working on. It's taking a bit longer than I first reckoned because I decided to go back and completely redo the Worgen's head and neck gear as well as add decorative details. I'm making up the gear as I go along. It's not supposed to look like any kind of Tier gear, just odd bits and bobs a Worgen might have scavenged and adapted.

I'm no WoW fan...Just enjoying to team-play a bit with my bf's char. What i'm a fan of is the Epic story that Warcraft has. Especially the dragons part is the most interesting...
...Saddly Blizzard acted like a Pvp master rouge and stealth-pushed his epic knife in my heart by making Malygos a "badguy" too and even let him slaugther by mere mortals...HA! Yeah right, like the personification of magic could be beaten down by any short lived...And also we already have several bad dragons already, like Onyxia...Or have you perhaps heard the name Deathwing. He's supposed to be bad, or so i red...*sigh!*
On topic: The two, new classes: Worgen and Goblin. First of all we have the classic monster/class names like elf orc goblin, why is a werewolf called worgen? Okay, no biggie but i find it lame...But at least it looks so awesome...And as a horde player i never going to play it. S*cks! Insted i got a green shortie...HA, again! I totaly do not wanted to play a powerful race like the nagas, or demons from the burning legion even...Would been a lot cooler to roam as an enslaved demon of the legion, then a goblin...My oppinion only, but the worgen at least looks cool, even their city looks cool.To all alliance players: (kidding) S*ck a worgen's d**k for getting to play that awesome class. Have fun with it! I go and pet my garden goblin. :(
Cataclysm...YAY for Deathwing! Now there's a cool char i'm ready to see again! Neltharion is one of the most important character of Warcraft...hope He's fate is not as of Malygos's. I mean he got the elemental-elder gods on his side...sorta.

The lore behind Malygos going nuts is that he foresaw a catastrophe caused by magic users and so fought to regulate and contain all magic users. This wouldn't be the first time magic has been at the centre of disaster. It was the huge arcane usage of the Highborne 10,000 years ago that attracted the Burning Legion to Azeroth in the first place and the creation of the Dark Portal that allowed the Orcs to invade the world was created by a hugely powerful mage. Anyway, although I haven't done the Malygos raid myself, I do believe it was Alexstrasza the Lifebinder that killed Malygos in the end.
Onyxia is technically dead. She's just being brought back to make an one-off level 80 raid for the 5th anniversary of WoW. Deathwing is going to be the head bad guy in Cataclysm and the expansion itself was in the making before WotLK was announced.
Worgen is deprived from a word meaning Warg which in turn is taken from somewhere else. I can't remember right now. Anyway, Worgen aren't actually werewolves, that was something that Argual came up with in his experiments. The Worgens of Ashenvale or Duskwood can not turn into humans. They are the original Worgens summoned from their home world to help fight the Burning Legion. The worgens in Grizzly Hills are humans infected by the undead Argual. The Worgen in Gilenas is thought to have been infected by Argual sometime before he got killed by adventurers.
It would be very silly to have the Goblins join the Alliance. We already have the Gnomes and it would be strange to have both races working side by side - they have a strong rivalry. It makes better sense to have the Worgens join the Alliance since they are from the Gilenas kingdom. Unlike the Forsaken, they are not undead and they have retained their human minds. Also, the Horde do need a short, humorous race to balance out the two sides, and the Alliance needs something more beastly.
Although the Naga race is seeded greatly in Azeroth lore, they would create problems for the developers, mainly because gear would have to be reworked for their serpentine forms. Demons are certainly a no-no for a playable race since they all belong to the Burning Legion which wants to destroy all life on Azeroth. The closest you get is either a warlock minion or playing a Draenei who are exiles of a race incorporated into Legion.

Thank you for all that i know already! As i'm not a huge player, in turn, I'm a huge reader...Red all the warcraft books, so i'm well informed. Except Night of the dragon...stupid hungarian money grabbin' interpretters. They go and hungarianize Hanna Montana, and other childish things, where a /masterpiece/ best-seller is ignored...Also Diablo - Moon of the spider. Was really looking forward Zayl's trials. Best Necromancer ever! :)

Sorry, I thought you didn't know about the reasoning behind the two new races and the stuff about Malygos.
Trust me on this, Night of the Dragon isn't a patch on Day of the Dragon. I really didn't like the book much, the characters where easily able to blink in and around Grim Batol far too much for my liking.
You play on the EU realms? If you ever feel like trying out the Alliance, like if you want to try out the Worgen when Cataclysm comes out, come over to Eonar.

I'm no big fan of the game (Blizzard just makes too much good stuff to hang onto one game - Diablo-fangirl) but my bf started to play with the horde and in the hungarian servers you aren't allowed to choose chars from both sections least they delet all your minor chars from one of them and you get an x-day ban.

Favorite race: Blood elves, 'cause they simply a force to reckon with. I mean who were infiltrating Shattrath in the first place. Scyers rule! Yeah! Aldor can go back to pammper girls, while we slaughter our enemies and fellow Blood elf bretheren who are still following Kael!

Humans are stupid, Gnomes are little, Night elves are made the world burn, Dwarves are little, Draenei are traitors of the light, Orcs are invaders, Taurens are big and hairy, Trolls are Jamaican and high, Undeads are a sorry bunch of rotting corpses, and blood elves just a revenge-striving leftovers from the high-elves community, Death knights are weird, and deserters, but cool, Worgen are ultra cool but also clíché, and Goblins are just like peons: Cannon fodder.
I really look forward to have WotLK on our server...I haven't played it yet so i want to know how a Death Knight is doing as the expansion class. Also we have a fun server for PvP: insta 70 + 1800gold. All trainer/vendor in Shattrath. There i can choose both sides...but it's not the same without the leveling.
My only regret is my Cloth armor as a warlock. I got owned much at bg - but i kill much more in turn. Really. I know cloth isn't plate armor but by the exsitance of magic, sew some godd'mn magic in the clothes to rise their armor level! I'm thinking on starting out with a shaman or a druid, just to be able to wear leather. Maybe a paladin for armor and plate. My weakness is: i like magic-users.

It's only because your on a PvP realm that you can not choose to play on the Alliance side there. However Eonar is a PvE realm. I'm not a big fan of PvP, I started on a PvP realm and it almost made me quit WoW before I discovered the joys of not getting ganked constantly by high level players while leveling.
Demonology Warlock and Draenei. Now I can't have a warlock Draenei so my main is a human. However I do have level 80 Draenei DK and a mage at 76. My other level 80 is a Night Elf Druid.
You seriously don't have Wrath of the Lich King? Your missing out on so much LORE! You've never seen the origins of the human or gnomes in WotLK? Never seen the Wrath Gate ingame cinematic? What about Mr Bigglesworth in Naxxaramas? Or surf harpoons in Howling Fjord?! Your missing out on so much lore and cool stuff to do.
