And she is utterly adorbs!

Now, even though this is a normal deer and not a reindeer, I'll give y'all a funfact about reindeers.

I used to live in Northcape, where the sami people keep reindeer. Both male and female reindeer have antlers, and the male actually are the ones shedding them when the females have given birth, and the females keep their antlers to scare off predators, specifically eagles (the island I lived on had a no-predator policy, and they can't really keep eagles off, so the babies born there have only eagles to fear, really. There was an incident where foxes got into the underwater tunnel that goes to the island, but they were chased back out on the other side, I think XD)

You can also find antlers around the time the babies are born scattered around the mountains!

Well, the Capreolus capreolus all over this part of the region don't. Only the bucks have'em here, but everyone knows that differs from species to species. I'm sure at some place the males just don't.

Sadly only some female cervidae can have them. :'(

They can totally have antlers! They are just usually not fully developed - and sometimes poorly shapen. So yes it is totally legitimate!

depends heavily upon the deer though... not saying they cant though, good examples would be caribou...except water deer...they dont have antlers, and quite a few species of African gazelle, but again depends on the species of cervine

And lionesses can have manes. There are mixups sometimes.
