Katsuki Mizushima
Samurai of the Mizushima Clan
To the far east of the world, only slightly further beyond the realms of the Zhi Empire and even the Eong Kingdom exist a mighty island empire known by its inhabitants as Taikara. This land consists of dense forests, high mountains, lovely springs, and plentiful fields that seem to be perfect for growing food and tilling. The empire's westernmost island is Tangano, which is known for its plentiful mountain ranges and beautiful wooden castles. The island is ruled solely by a clan of samurai, warrior nobles equivalent to the knights of Rosica, known as the Mizushima. The Mizushima established their rule on the island with their holy emperor's blessing, consolidating control over the other clans on Tangano. Along with control of the entirety of Tangano, the Mizushima have expanded part of their control to the main island, Hagawa. With this much land in control of the Mizushima clan compared to the rest of the other clans, it seems to have a heavy say in the matters of the empire. Its noble samurai are known for their unyielding vigor and to a lesser extent, their temperament. One of these samurai goes by the name of Katsuki, a seldom seen female in the warrior ranks of the clan.

Mizushima Katsuki is a young woman in her early mid-twenties. Her hair is a shade of black, and very interestingly enough pulled up into the same chonmage style that seems popular with the male samurai. She has even shaved the top of her head to allow the topknot to rest on her scalp. Her eyes are either black or a very dark shade of brown, with an appearance of experience within them. Her skin tone is similar to most of those from Tangano, more characteristically fairer than the Hagawans who bear a slightly more tan complexion. Very few of the Hagawans call the Mizushima (and the Tanganoans in general) 'pale faces' as a result. Her body has been fairly toned by years of practice and a proper diet, made so to carry out the deeds that the samurai may need to participate in, including combat of course. Her face is rather feminine, and shows a slight natural beauty to it as well.

Her normal attire is dominated by various vibrant kimonos, or robes of sorts. When it comes to the one she wears most, the outer kimono bears a blue color with a mostly simple design. The inner kimono bore a similar design, but was mostly a shade of red, with light blue coloring around the edges between the inner and outer parts. The rest of her robes seem to be dominated by a light blue color similar to her kimono's edges and a fuzzy dark red belt. Carefully placed near her belt and in her robes was a curved sword, a katana, sheathed in a scabbard made of lacquered wood engraved with the characters '水島', her clan name. The blade seemed to be finely crafted and capable of cutting through Taikaran armors made primarily of iron and leather. Most members of her clan seem to have a katana made in this fashion and carrying the characters of their clan name. Hidden in her robe are a few extra blades which are similar to the katana in design but smaller in size. She also seems to carry shuriken every so often, small dagger-like throwing objects that resemble stars. When the opportunity comes, she is quite adept at using a yumi bow. Sometimes she is even seen in full armor, with it bearing the dark blue colors that the Mizushima clan members are known to wear.

As a samurai of the Mizushima clan, Katsuki travels around the Mizushima Domain and Taikara in general seeking to bring peace to the realm and make sure the other clans recognize the power of her clan. Sometimes she explores Taikara for pleasure, seeking to discover more of her land's history and heritage. Other times she fights brigands and bandits that seek to bring disorder to her domain and Taikara in general. The samurai is somewhat religious, believing primarily in the Taikaran gods of harvest, wisdom and war to be her primary guides in her journeys and travels. She is an avid fan of tea and usually dedicates a certain time of day to preparing and drinking it. Being a member of one of the most powerful clans in Taikara, she is also rather wealthy too!
