Down in the Zen Garden (15h)
I can't believe I almost skipped over posting this one-- my bad! Here's a pretty sprawling scene piece I got to paint for
Tivadu of their absolutely GORGEOUS, deeply pigmented tiger character having a stroll through some lovely garden pathways! What you see here-- sans the big cats anyway-- is actually not too far removed from real life; I pulled a bunch of reference and photo bashing from my trip to the Portland Japanese Gardens during a journey out west last year! For the record is really is that beautiful, and more. The fu statue is based on one from around the visitor's center and gift shop area.
Cheers, all! Happy Thursday!

Oh yeah sure-- thanks for asking, too! I really appreciate the consideration!
I really don't have a problem with people using what I paint for their own desktops or squirreling them away in personal art folders to stare at, etc-- which I absolutely do myself for pieces I get inspired by. As long as folks aren't trying to claim stuff as their own, selling iterations for profit/claiming it as their own/posting places without credit or vandalized watermarks etc, s'all good!

there is great zen humor in the aggressive venting against the immovable.
i don't know if that is what you intended, but i see in this the wonder of that well expressed.
of course your tiger friend is probably just reading the scent signatures of who has already been here.
so anything can be read more then one way.
i just choose to see something i wish more people could understand.
