This is the last thing I inherited from my grandpa. We never spoke much but it was apparent he knew I was into photography back. One day I might be able to get it restored and used again.

The shutter appears to be jammed for some reason, but I also want to get new bulbs for it as well. Not sure why but gramps kept the dead ones.

My granddad used to keep the old bulbs too. He kept them for two reasons 1. so he knew which bulb to buy and 2. He had a thing about recycling.

I've collected cameras for over fifty years (yeah, I'm an old fart) and I actually own an Ansco Cadet II. I've never even seen the fancy fitted case, except in pictures. That's a great find -- even if you'll never find 127 film.

Right after you posted this I did a web search for 127 film, and it looks like it's still being made, even if not by the old mainstream companies.
