Hey guys, time for another piece from My Father and going with something that was needed from the hustle and bustle of the con. I got outside once I left a little early saying to my table buddies next to me, I'm heading out for a smoke a drink. Once I stepped outside, I felt the cold air gust on my body and I asked, "Why is it cold?" Eventually I shot straight for the club and picked out my next review along with another stick. Got a double shot of Jameson IPA to drink and chatted with my bro James. Let's get into into it!
My Father Connecticut:
Wrapper:Ecuadorian Connecticut
Binder:Nicaraguan Corojo 99
Filler:Nicaragua Habano-Criollo
Pre-Light/Construction:
Along with the other boxes, Stephen pointed out the week before as one of the options. The stick itself was nice and bright with it's wrapper along with the crested band to signify it's beauty. Even the wrapper itself was clean as hell. seems and veins were barley present giving it that prestige and clean look, of course. After slicing, the pre-draw was nice and smooth. Looking forward to lighting it after all day of doing art commissions.
The Burn Part 1:
The draw was superb. Alot of white pepper notes along earthy notes began the flavor train. A nice start from this stick. Needed a good little spice honestly. Was craving it. The earthy notes were more grassy than usual. Must have been a nice batch in the box from the first pick of the lot. The Jameson IPA complimented it a little bit too. So far along the stick as the notes progressed a little sweet note of cream like a coffee liquour came to join, making it more calm from the white pepper notes. So far nothing else came to the finish of the 1st third.
The Burn Part 2:
Me and James were talking about some old school hip hop artist during the time. The white pepper notes began to gain a little more strength as the earthy grass notes went a little more dense. The cream notes became a little more darker too. Soon some cedar notes joined along and complimented the cream notes. Harsh in body for a connecticut I've had for a little while. So far the body is at a good level medium.
The Burn Final:
At this point the earthy grass notes started to dwindle a bit along with the white pepper notes, calming it down a bit.
The cedar and cream surprisingly stayed in it's level. Nothing else changed until the last few puffs. The winner of this was mainly the white pepper. Finally putting it to rest and taking a swig of my Jameson ending it.
Verdict:
Any time, any place, and any occasion for this stick is a must. Grab you a few and a good drink.
