I finally completed this commission for
rainrat. Took me long enough as I knew what I wanted to draw, but not HOW to make it look like I wanted it to. So I thought, black card stock or in this case, black poster board.
This took me half the day yesterday to colour this, adding layer after layer of colour, darkening and lightening the clothing and fur as needed. Very rarely will I draw something with out some sort of background, but in this case I could not think of a way of putting it in with out ruining the feel of the picture.
Rat lives close by, so I actually got to see the look on his face when I handed him the framed image, and the smile he had when he hung it on his wall. It also comes in handy because I get to have $$ right into my hand.
