Kerami is the sole surviving descendant of her family line.
She is part dragon, part-feline, although the feline ancestry is indirect. The impurity in the bloodline
effected her family's departure from the draconic colonies and into older territories, where
"weaker" creatures have erected the rudiments of modern civilization. To the common denizen of this universe, dragons are mythical creatures,
seldom mentioned in histories, but recorded as fearsome beasts of immense magical power and might.
As a space-drive age technological society, most adults view mentions of dragons and magic as nonsense, or at best misunderstood events that turned into legends, and thus they have disappeared from the societal radar,
except for the obsessed few.
Kerami is far from being a pure dragon, and she herself has only ever seen one other half-dragon in her lifetime.
Through family friends, her parents left her the planet of Keramikon, where she was raised
by her godmother Pruao, a xenobiologist of leonine descent, and taught the sciences as recorded in the ancient draconic texts.
Kerami eventually left Keramikon in pursuit of a more eventful life than her godmother could provide.
Several years later, she returned to Keramikon and used currency from an unnamed source to set up a polymathic research facility on Keramikon,
reimbursed by funds from academic institutions and her private clients, whom she provided services no-one else in the
non-draconic part of the galaxy could offer. It is due to Moebius and Sophie's research into gravimetrics and advanced music theory
that they met Kerami personally (almost all others believed Pruao to be the administrator and never saw Kerami, for obvious reasons)
and became close friends.
The next few weeks of Kerami's life would be tumultuous and pivotal in the outcome of the collision of her universe with a parallel thread,
one dominated by a completely different history, where Chicxulub's impact devastated what would become her timeline...
In the image above, Kerami shares a few playfully sardonic words with Nicholas Fenlay, a character from our universe. More characters to be sketched
and colored soon.
PS. I'm trying to get a lineless painted style going. How am I doing?
