While just the results of a tutorial on modeling in blender https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JYj6e-72RDs, I'm rather satisfied with how it turned out. It's not porn sure, and I'll be moving it to scraps later, but it does mark the beginning of my dive back into 3d modelling, something I stopped doing years ago. Next thing will be more NSFW in nature, and help me learn all the new shit that comes with newer rendering techniques.

Blender is surprisingly functional now, back when I stopped modelling it was a mess, couldn't even undo. I would never have recommended it to people back then, but now I'd say it's the best option for new modelers*, both because it's free and that any skills learned in it will translate pretty well to other software.

*I think I've tried all of them in the last six months, tutorials are everywhere for blender, making it far easier to pick up right from scratch, or even for people like me who don't remember the interface for 3ds max at all.
