Come to think about it. is Aussie the only male friend that Vicki seems to have or is he just the most consistent male character in the comic?

Actually, Aussie is the most consistent male character. Back in the original run of the comic there were a couple of other male characters but, they weren't seen consistently like Aussie.

In the beginning, I created the Main Four - Aussie, Vicki, Ceri, and Meredith. Aussie is Vicki's childhood friend.
Later, with Dixie Wildlife, the Main Four expanded to Five with the promotion of Laura Anne from background to foreground.
My stories feature this main cast.

In Vicki's World, Vicki has several male relationships:
* a relative, Uncle Mike
* a romantic interest, Pastor Steve
* a co-worker friend who has a crush on her, Craig Wolfe
