Mirsathia! Go fave it in their gallery here. Poor Adhara, it's been so long since she had someone to just quietly cuddle with, she just doesn't know how to handle it and she looks so cute :D
"Mmmm. That hit the spot, didn't it?"
Adhara gave a slow nod, pulling her paws back to let Ashar sweep away the remains of dinner. He paused, just for a moment, as he took the cracked bones, antlers, and fur to the edge of the cliff, and after a moment she remembered her manners.
"Thank you for hunting."
His tail flicked happily back and forth, and she blushed a little. It was hard to get used to letting another dragon visit her territory without a challenge--and especially hard to get used to being as polite as he deserved, taking care of her as he did! After the sleek black and orange dragon had helped her tire herself out squirming, he'd let her out to rest and flown off to find them both a snack, returning with a buck big enough to feed two dragons. How strange to have someone hunt for her, be so friendly and kind and respectful to her... tie her up and never go further than she wanted...
Her own tail twitched, and she made an effort to stretch herself out and admire the view from the mountainside instead. They just got done with that, it wasn't time for more!
Ashar returned and settled down onto his belly next to her--then leaned closer, his shoulder on hers, his wing extending over her own! She flinched, not used to another dragon in her personal space, or at least not under unrestrained circumstances; he'd cuddled her while she was tied up a couple of times, but that wasn't the same, like he was controlling her and doing what he wanted with her. To just snuggle in without anything binding her felt completely different! He nudged at her snout, but when she flinched back he didn't let that dissuade him, merely rumbling and nuzzling along the underside of her neck.
She wasn't sure how to handle this. She couldn't even remember when she'd last had an innocent, friendly, un-bound cuddle; what was she supposed to do? So much time being grouchy and aloof made her first instinct to bite him, but that seemed wrong. It was Ashar, he was so nice to her and helped her out so kindly, he didn't deserve biting! Still, it didn't feel right somehow, his wing over her back and his paw on hers and his snout gently nuzzling along her jaw and even over her throat... Was she supposed to cuddle him back? Growl and keep acting grumpy? Her throat started to rumble and her blush deepened when she realized she was purring. She wasn't even tied up and he'd made her purr, this was so embarrassing!
But he just purred louder, while she rumbled and twitched half-frozen by indecision and a growing contentment. Nudge, nose, purr, nuzzle, he didn't relent, and poor mortified Adhara found herself feeling more and more at ease...
