Hailing from a world were tribal law rules all, Killian was doomed from an early age to a life of scorn and resentment from his peers. The dragon-orca hybrid was born into one of his world's largest tribes, a massive group of over 400 oceanic hybrids that ruled along stretch of coastal caverns near the planet's equator. His father was a hunter-gatherer, killing and bringing home large catches for his family to take from first and the rest being distrubuted to the tribe. Killian, as the first-born son, was to be his father's successor when he came of age, allowing the older dorca to retire and persue life as an elder and wisdom-giver.

This was not what Killian did.

The young dorca helped his one-handed mother cook one day - a task usually given to those that cannot contribute in larger ways to the tribe - and was instantly enamored. Mixing spices, cooking meats, experimenting and trying new combinations to get new flavors... he was in love. He began to volunteer more for cooking and less for fishing and hunting small game. His father grew resentful, and on the day of Killian's adulthood ceremony, he was confronted. Killian said he would become one of the cooks for the tribe, and in a fit of rage, was struck by his father with a fishing tool, damaging his left eye.

The young dorca was banished from his tribe, sentenced to die out at sea... had Argus not been visiting, disguised as another orca. He took the young chef in, set him up in Sin City with a job as a chef, and the rest is history. Now, Killian is Chef de Cuisine of Poseidon's Palace, a seafood restaurant and Argus' favorite place to eat.
