Here's the unpainted sculpt I'm working on for
dirtiran !
Finally finished the sculpture work on this. It's made of Super Sculpey polymer clay and is supported by a wire and foil skeleton. She's 5 1/4 inches long and 2 1/4 wide at the base.
One of the main advantages of working with polymer clay is the ability to rebake it, so this one was baked once to secure the core, again for the body after it was sculpted, and one last time for the details.
Commissions for these are currently unavailable until I am able to purchase more supplies.

Thanks! Figuring out how to best use the multiple-baking thing with this was a real plus, I don't think I would have been able to get all the proper details on without that. I'm always worried I'm going to squish my details when I go to hold it in a different way to work on a different part of the sculpt! XD
Oh my god thats looking amazing! The pose is fantastic, I am amazed you pulled of such a beautiful and uplifted one like that with her bulk! Those fluffy details on her tail and neck especially are absolutely gorgeous, and that lovely expression on her face. *Excited* Man, you interpret her so well into sculpt :D
It took three total to be completed. The first was to bake the base and the core of the figure so that the wireframe wouldn't wiggle while I was working, then I sculpted the body on top of the core and baked that, then I added the details like the fluff on top of the body base and sent it through the final baking. I'm guessing the piece took about 6 hours to sculpt, not counting any of the breaks I took in between.
