Pythons dont appreciate being told to keep their hissing quiet, even in the library...
Now this one gets to tell the librarian to quiet down for all the noise hes making!
Special thanks to
embargobox and
venombahamut for helping with some of those title ideas!

That's just... wow. I don't think you'll get nearly enough credit for drawing all those books. Tickle pics rarely have any effort put into the backgrounds, but you just went above and beyond. That's just stupid impressive.
Not that the actual tickle bits lag behind! Those are some expressive faces you drew there! I love them. ^.^
I also love those soles. <u< Man, those look delicious, no wonder the snake went for them. Classy, too. Spats should be used in more footy designs, I don't see them nearly as often as I'd like to.
On a side note, I have to compliment the color choices in this drawing! I know this is an area many artists slam their faces against due to its difficulty, but you make it look easy. Snake's scales, badger's fur , badger's clothes, tons of books... and none of those colors clash! The pic is very easy to look over. Very nice job with the coloring, fox.

Its great to take a simple idea and push it as far as it can go. Must have been quite a shock for this librarian to suddenly find himself tightly bound during just another day at work.
Thanks for the observations and compliments. A lot of work does go into a picture like this but its worth it to bring something new and hopefully memorable to the scene!

Mr. Paws, that background is STUNNING! So much work was invested into this background, I immediately noticed that you painstackingly invested time in making the shelves littered in books in every nook and cranny. And titles are even presented for each of them. (nice of the two to give in some insights to the titles, quite a few of these are fun teasers) 'Quilted Crocs, Paw-Foots, Quivering Toes, Old Time Tails, Wild Knights Gulkeeva,' heck, some of these you even added different fonts for the book spine covers! I was scouring each of the sections from top to bottom. (even noticed you added some of your titles for other pieces of your original artworks into this as cameos. Heck, even some titles are describing the current state of the two characters in the picture) I highly applaud you on such dedication to make a background so rich in content. And you focused on lighting/blur effects/shadow on each and every one of them. And I can't forget that its not even an entire straight row of books, there are gaps, as well as some books leaning over. Even blurred in the falling book in the front, so show its quick descent from gravity's pull. This must have been one heck of a doozy and I'm sure you are more than proud to do so! I'm all smiles at this. And even the title of the picture itself is a pun on the very particular board game of Chutes and Ladders...or was it Snakes and Ladders...unless Snakes and Ladders was a joke name from one of the cartoons I watched. (I don't remember)
The victim of this month, a nerdy bagder librarian is looking very cute. (and I don't just mean because he is going hysterical. You drew him to be a very cute elderly badger). What with his old fashioned stripped and collard shirt, and khaki pants, and lets not forget his glasses and spiffy s-spats, it would compel me to want to compliment him. Pretty sure I can get him to tell me of some things about the library, as I half listen and half admire him. The expression on his face though is gold. Just love the manic look on him, as he just can't help but bellow out in laughter despite him having to shush in the library facility. Plus, perhaps one can say its also a look of horror within his eyes, as he knows that he could fall over at any given moment. I can only assume this is one of those taller branch of bookcases and thus..a taller ladder for him to fall off of. I'm sure it worrying to him that he could hurt himself severly, so the best he can do is struggle to not teeter the ladder too much, even as this meddlesome snake has his way with his spat worn foot. Its his fault for wearing such lovely spats on his already lovely feet. How can one not tease em? So thick and wide and screaming for attention. I really like how uber ticklish you made him seem, just from the lone fact that only the flicking of the snake's forked tongue is already driving the old codger manic. The snake looks so maliciously coy. Its like he is mocking the badger, knowing full well that, yes, the powerful badger is being destroyed (mentally and maybe in the near future physically) just by tickling him. A true sign of weakness, not a single attack needs to be used, just the flicking of his tongue against that sole sole~It matters not if this badger could tear him to shreds, tickles are a whole different playing field entirely. >:3 You made this badger's feet so cute, what a wonderful pair of brown padded soles he has, that don't help him in the least against this prankster. Love the foot curling as he struggles to try to keep that flicky tongue away from him, lifting his foot. Heck the little extra detail of the badger's arm reaching for the upper levels of the ladder, but now the snake coiled his body around it, so that he can't move himself more upward on the ladder to possibly climb onto the bookcase is a nice extra detail. Can't move his other leg, as he'd just immediately lose his balance, can't move up because he is blocked, and as much as he is using his other hand to try to push the snake off of him, it has very little effect. Poor old badger~ He's gonna get spittle all over that boo aisle. Hopefully, the visitors of the library already left, or are far off in the building, so that this snake can constantly abuse him for awhile.
Very lovely work Mr. Paws, for not only such an excellent background but a delightful peril theme, thru tickles no less. This is delightful. ^^

Oooo, I always love those little foot straps~ And i'll tell you what that badger has to do, tickle that snake right back! XP
And as others have said, that background is really impressive. That's some real dedication that I can appreciate right there! And the scenario, the angle, everything about this picture is really lovely. You always pull through with something charming, and a situation really cute looking as well!
Good work, as always~ :p

Awesome picture ;) Working in a library myself, I've often daydreamed about the various ticklish situations one could run into, so this pic hits rather close to home! I love the design of the badger, both in his clothing and his very cute footpaws, and the devious snake is a lot of fun ;) That soft, flickering tickle just sends shivers up the spine when even just looking at it! I also love looking through all of those titles in the background. Great attention to detail and it makes the picture a lot of fun to just gaze at and see what you can discover.
Excellent job with this and always happy to see more art from you!

Its good that the library setting just happens to be something you can associate with. Thanks to that we have a situation where this badger has a reason to climb a ladder and unintentionally show off his soles.
I'm sure the moment that python spotted this opportunity, he just had to make a move! Poor old badger never even saw it coming!

The amount of detail you've put into this picture is astounding! There's something awesome to look at in every pixel. From the handsome and sharply dressed badger, showing off those plump and delightfully framed paws, to the coiling mischievous snake with its grin, tickly tongue, and gaze fixated on that sole, to all those great book titles, there's stuff to bring out a smile no matter where the eye wanders. If it wasn't already a favorite scenario of mine, this picture would make it a favorite scenario. Great work!

How loud can a hiss get!? If its louder than I think I might be scared of its making a relatively passive and quiet-ish hiss and then it just suddenly raises the hiss volume.
*is staring at the books* OOOHHH! Ooh! Oh! Oh! Sorry I'm picking up all the Cereal in the room. Pfffffft, just kidding, but your jokes are not missed on the spines of the books. I see what you're doing! I pay attention to detail! Your game is exceptionally higher than I anticipated.

Coming up with the titles and alphabetizing them was the longest bit.
Getting them on each book was relatively easy.
Type them out using a word document so you can alter the fonts and such. Keep them all black on white then print screen the list. Use Photoshop to remove the white background leaving only the font on its own layer then use the "layer lock" to colour each as you see fit. Next use the "free transform" tool to rotate, stretch and skew each title into its correct position and shape!
Sounds long but its far quicker then drawing each letter out individually in the correct place.
