I leave this mostly to self-interpretation. My thoughts are below.

The idea of this is that close friends and people we care for can make us feel beautiful inside. Sometimes it takes a lot of hard work, empathy, sympathy, and time to help a person feel good about themselves. It makes us grow, swell, feel confident, able to look in the mirror easier when we're doubtful. However we also should appreciate the people that helped get us out of our ruts, that let us know how truly beautiful we are. What's more is it must be true in some way, at least to the ones we care for, if they are willing to work that hard to help show us the beauty that's inside of us.
