You may recall Cobal from my gallery, you may even know he was a warlord. and this another gorgeous piece was done by  Khatmedic

What you do not know that during campaign, where he was a crucial NPC, team of my brave players helped him conquer the world, while most of land known as Atera was reeling and recovering from demonic invasion. Cobal was after all, smart enough to know when to strike.

And after that bloody conflict, the very last war, which forced humans upon the knees, left barely adoscelent human prince at his mercy... and soon, married of to faithful minotauress.
Elves, suffered much less elegant fate, stubborn to the end. When minotaur Horde hit the crystal city, they thought themselves safe because of their magic. When the capital was shattered, they were proven wrong and were taught to be obedient.

The titles of Kinslayer, Bloodyhanded, Conqueror are all well earned by this dark figure, dark deeds committed by him about to echo in eternity.

But on the other hand, he was one man, that was able to unite the clans, breaking the age old tradition of breaking tribes between rule of shamans. When demons came, he fought against them and forced them away from this world. His people, for long thought to be barbaric and only useful as slave labor, were building cities and fortresses, acquiring wealth. For his people. For those who were downtrodden, his rule was a breath of fresh air. Especially when old nobility had to give place, and many spots were open for those with talent and ambition. The Empire, grew quickly and recovered from dark times of famine. Each deed he performed, each victory was his. Earned through wit, brawn and determination.

The titles of Warlord, Reformator, Liberator are as well very much deserved.

Once a wise prince said: A good act does not wash out the bad, nor a bad act the good. Each should have its own reward.
Cobal is as loved as he is hated. He has as many supporters, as there are many looking to undo him. In the end though, who knows how history will judge him.
