Needs up and down action. Remember, in walking the whole body moves - not just the limbs.

Nuh uh. I am not following traditional animation law, I am attempting to recreate the limited animations of Roger Wilco of Space Quest fame. As far as I know his head remains stationary through the animation.

I didn't play Space Quest, but I did play a lot of other Sierra adventure games and there was totally up and down motion.

Indeed, by this point they stepped the detail up a notch! I think I may reconsider, since what I'm making here is about double the resolution of the original Space Quest (on which these are based) I may as well add a 1 pixel bob to the animation.
