So sitting, feeling art-block as I look at the work I'm trying to finish,
I swoosh off to the side to draw some doodles to help.. I donno, loosen
up my mood so maybe I can get this freakin art out.
Anyway.. if you are a True Blood fan and have been following the show
recently you will understand... for the most part. For those who are not
and have not... heres some crazy ass doodles Hurray!
Sorry for any gap lovers, it's the first thing I see when I look at her x_x

and forth.. drives me nuts! >D
This is for shits and giggles if you take it seriously or offensively gtfo

Yeah, might have given us a warning first.
And as far I know, the books are still being written so who knows what will happen later down the road. And don't you correct me on anything or I will spoiler back at you SO BAAAAAAD! >_<
Anyway, at least it's nice to know that in real life, Anna Paquin (Sookie) and... the guy that plays Bill actually hooked up and got hitched. Thankfully, I'm pretty sure that HBO romances work better than other Hollywood romances.
See Chris Brown and Rhianna.

Anti-climatic?
What are you talking about? Just from watching I could tell what he wanted to do, and I actually thought his death was rather poetic. It was like a dissolve in a faint blue flame that almost looked like a kind of cleansing. It certainly wasn't the same as when Bill got scorched, but apparently the older you get the more sun light can poof yah.
But given the scene and the setting and everything, it was a rather poignant moment that really hit home on the series.

should have made myself clearer... the effect they used just didn't fit with me for some reason. him wanting to die was pretty obvious, but the horrible acting right before that between him and Eric was just hilarious. don't believe me? just look at someone and say "Fadder... Brooder... Soon..." and see if they don't just laugh at you. then there was the fact that they could have made his death look a lot cooler given the level of effects in the beginning of the episode right after the explosion, but maybe they were over budget already. i dunno. i still love the show dude, but geeze... don't jump on me just because i don't seem to worship it as much as you.

Guess we'll have to agree to disagree then because I thought the acting in that scene was great. I also like the fact that they didn't make Godric's death flashier. It shows some restraint and control as opposed to the Michael Bay school of film-making:
1) Blow shit up.
2) Blow shit up more.
3) Dangle something sparkly for the audience to bat at.
4) Blow shit up.
And I'm jumping on you because I worship the show. It's just the usual bickering of the old Siskel-Ebert style arguments. One thought a scene sucked, the other thought it was brilliant. Both go into why it sucked / why it rocked.
The way I see it, just because you have the budget for something doesn't mean you have to use it all.

ROTFLMFAO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
You watch that show?! That's fucking awesome! I haven't loved a drama series like True Blood since Rome (fucking HBO) went off the air! I STILL say Eric was gay for Godric. And I want Godric's tattoos.
Whatcha think Mary Ann is? I cannot name her but I know her ass is wicked evil.

She's a Maenad, that's what Daphne said when explaining her to Sam.

Apparently they were responsible for the death of Orpheus, a character very prominent in Greek myths. They are also a replacement for Nymphs which is very important. It means that Mary Ann is, or more precisely, WAS human before becoming a follower of Dionysus, the 12th of the Prime Olympian Gods, and apparently gained some massive power in the millenia that she's been alive.

As a fellow monster researcher, I've been trying to figure out how to properly kill one of these things. Something tells me the secret lies with Orpheus somehow.

The main problem I have with that is she was only in the book for a very small part...then she wandered away. Even the vampires were scared shitless of her. I really like the books, but i have to watch the show (nothing in common past general description of characters) because it is fun, and has hot nude vampires...really what is not to like.
Yeah pretty much. She said she other forests to hunt or something to that effect. Of course with the amount that they have altered the storyline from the book I doubt that there will be th scene with Eric wearing hot pink spandex pants...which I was really looking forward to just because I think it would be hilarious. But yes, as far the the book goes she showed up at the beginning to attack Sookie then at the end for a final climactic scene. I think as kind of a favor to Sam who she was being naughty (in the fun way) with.
