All young Teks tend to be assigned to an older one as a partner, who it is depends on the race. Diolis' consistency when it comes to churning out more Teks of similar capabilities makes it easier to group them by models rather than considering each individual's capabilities. Their further growth and development is more or less the same, with some freedom of choice, but all generally follow given standards.

A Diolis' sharpshooter escort keeps their distance and makes sure the escape route is clear. If possible, they assist with spotting and learn how and what to observe, until they're able to start taking shots themselves and eventually become a sharpshooter themselves. A near perfect copy of their master in terms of skill.

Teks are born with basic learning capabilities, a core holding their soul, structure, electronics and a synthetic skin for protection. Said skin is often all they get at first, but should they prove themselves, they'll get to add more and more to their frame, sometimes shedding bits of the skin instead to vent heat from hotter areas that way. Any "starter" weapons are simple too, though they do have their own miniforge, a Tek-made piece of equipment that's a replica of forges normally built into the cores and optimized to build only a few objects quickly, like ammunition. Uller's Slugger is a common type, as it can easily fire a variety of rounds and maintain a degree of accuracy for its simplicity.

Avzac's model may be in the process of being phased out, but the observant, careful soul of a sniper cannot be transferred to another. Eventually though, she will surpass and replace him, and then...
