What... exactly are our canine laborers doing in panel 3? I'd expected to see maybe some sort of half finished railroad tracks leading up to the porn store's front door. There really isn't any way to look at that and see a half finished railroad track. Is it meant to be ye olde west internet tube with wires popping out the end? Pornography by telegraph? But telegraph wires were hung from poles, and it's hardly unheard of for electrical cables to be buried to avoid an obstacle. Still it would be funny if the store Melvin works in set back information technology for lewd application by about two hundred years.
