I love this design, very gritty feel (for space).
A few things about ergonomics and human factor design.
1. If you are sitting in space, you are strapped to the seat. Your body has a "neutral body posture" which is about 3/4 of the way between sitting and standing. Your pilot would be doing constant crunches without restraints.
2. A few of the controls appear out of reach (top left window sill)
3. This shows light pollution in the cockpit pretty well. Space is very dim (except in direct view of the sun), so to see outside at all you have to turn off almost all interior lights. From the reflections in the windows, it appears that the pilot can barely see.
4. No arm rest means high G turns will cause his arm, and the controls, to move. Not so good.
That being said, since the character seems at least partially robotic, maybe none of that matters.
Also, shedding in space would be terrible. Given how dirty the ship looks, showing dirt particles floating around wouldn't be out of place.
