Dr. Calloway is very aware of species that are endangered or going extinct, and that includes sentient ones.

He is unaware of exactly what is happening within the Omniverse's government, and so writes theses regarding said endangerment. Several humanoid/Feather/Other cultures and species are on his list, including but not limited to magi, werewolves, and as shown here, korento.
