A WIP piece for  Favnir_dragon of his awesome dragon. I don't usually post many WIP's in my gallery, but I thought you guys might find the process interesting. To be honest, I like the look of these loose sketchy doodles much more than I enjoy polished sketches - and, of course, they're fun to do. This one went through about four pose revisions before I settled on this version.

I don't always paint like this - sometimes I refine a sketch quite heavily before painting -- but dragons are kind of my jam so free-painting it over a rough sketch usually works out quite nicely.
