It always sucks to see this, I'm not entirely sure what OP is talking about imo the foot looks like its in a natural position and doesn't appear to be any different to the rest of the page.
I also love the unique shape of the panels, it really suits the flow and theme of the comic and I you don't usually see people wiling to risk going out side of a conventional comic layout!
