When his homeland of Gilneas was invaded by a bunch of lycan looking cursed individuals, Jace came to its defense.
During his battles, he was bitten by one of the invaders, leaving quite a large wound on his shoulder that festered, throbbed, horribly.
He would start to feel sick after a while, and after a short fainting spell, had woken up to find he had become one of them!He's fierce for a change.
