Okaaaaay. So a little backstory for this pic! Hehe, so Marquis, Max, and I are fans of Dynasty Warriors. Each of us having a fave character in the Wu faction. Me with Lu Meng, Max with Lu Xun, and Marquis with Gan Ning. They all have such lovely backstories and personalities in the game…

And then Dynasty Warriors 9 came out… I was filled with hope and excitement for it. It had been 5 years since a main story DW game came out, and I was ready! But some serious problems came up before the game even started…the main one being that every warrior didn’t have their own weapon like in the previous games. But, I was still hopeful! When I finally got it, I put it in immediately and… was met with horrendous voice acting, the voice actors not even knowing THEIR OWN CHARACTER’S NAMES, an “open world” that just looks empty, the 1 vs an army aspect that Dynasty Warriors is known for being taken out, and the fighting mechanics terribly changed. All of this was too much, even for a big DW fan like me. I was just so saddened by all this that I had to return the game within 2 weeks of getting it.

Marquis and I are just horribly disappointed in what’s become of the game we love…Max feels it too, but Lu Xun’s ugly hat just had to be punished as well~
