The REAL reason for "Mortivo's Curse" is probably linked to Mortivo being next in line but not who an unkind relative actually thought was appropriate for the throne. Then the tale was faded from "truth" to legend, then to myth. My bet is, the "curse" is just a politics crossed with a "winners write the history" story.
