Hmm, that is an interesting thought. I suppose it could go one of three ways.
- If there's reformation, wait for the winning candidate to reform.
- Pass the victory to the runner-up. In this case, if a candidate is really unpopular, the combined votes of supporters and opposers could be enough to burst them and ensure they don't win.
- The candidates have people picked out ahead of time to take over if this happens.
